Merry Christmas, Bucharest!
This year’s Christmas Fair has begun in Bucharest. With it, over 15 miles of colorful Christmas lights cheer up the city.
The fair has been started in other cities around the country as well, like Cluj, Timișoara, Brașov, Sibiu and Târgu Jiu. In the capital city of Bucharest, the fair was organized for the first time in the Constitution Square, rather than the usual place, University Square. This year, 52 places in the city are lit up with more than 3 million lights, including the famous historic district.
Home to a wide variety of local delights, such as handmade items, decorations, “made in Romania” or Christmas sweets, the fair is a must-see, especially if you’re just starting to learn about Romania.
